About Us

Lindsay Lee & Lee Zieke

Willowglen Nursery is more than just your ordinary outlet for plants. It is a total experience, created by gardeners for gardeners—beginners and experts alike.

Lindsay and Lee Zieke Lee invite you to explore Willowglen’s matchless display gardens, nestled in the beautiful countryside of Northeast Iowa. You can roam at your leisure through the gardens, which are always changing, always new, and see first hand how the plants really look, how they grow and bloom, not isolated in a single pot, but in a natural setting, surrounded by other flowers. These exquisite gardens, which have been featured on public television's The Perennial Gardener with Karen Strohbeen, delight the eye whenever you visit, all through the growing season.

Someone is always on hand to answer your questions. No question is silly, and often the most challenging problems are the most fun. Whether you are planning a large landscape project, or just looking for that perfect flower for the edge of your patio, you can find what you want at Willowglen. Not just the plants, but the expertise, too. And you are sure to receive the same attention and consideration, whatever your gardening needs.

Lee and Lindsay focus on hardy perennials, including alpines and plants for your pond or water garden, but they like to experiment with new and unusual annuals, too. Willowglen carries a large selection of plants. It's a place where you can find that particular variety you've always wanted, and make some new discoveries while you are at it.

If you are planning a group visit, organized tours can be arranged for your garden club, your Master Gardener group, or just your gardening neighbors.
